angela & richard – healdsburg, ca

We couldn’t think of a better way to start the new year than by shooting Angela & Richard’s wedding in Santa Rosa!  Their wedding was in January- just weeks after our little bundle of joy was born.  Angela and I had corresponded for several months via email and I was super excited to meet her.  When we arrived at the hotel we were welcomed with an invitation to attend their rehearsal dinner at their family’s restaurant: Hank’s Creekside Restaurant.  The food was amazing and was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.  Seriously, LOVE those hash browns!  Okay, back to the important stuff…after we finally met Angela & Richard we knew their wedding was going to be special.  They are warm, genuine, and simply a gorgeous couple- inside & out.  They made us feel right at home in Sonoma County and we truly felt welcomed by their family and friends.  Their venue was an amazing place to shoot, filled with winding trees, it created endless photo opportunities.  Just thinking of how these two look at each other warms my heart.  We are so happy to have had the opportunity to not only meet such a lovely couple, but to have captured this very special day for them.  Please enjoy this post!

Kip Beelman - Healdsburg is one of my favorite places of all time and this wedding is right up there with it. Nice job putting it together.

As the father of a 6 year old daughter, I love seeing these images of the bride and her dad. Melt.

Liz Gibson - Ah, these are so great! I love following your blog, your work is always so beautiful and super inspiring. Miss you guys!

Jenna Close - Hey you two. Always love seeing your new stuff, and these didn’t disappoint. Really nice. Hope all is well in Seattle…Eli is illegally cute.

eli – update.

Okay, so we have become those parents…showing pics of our baby at every chance, but can you blame us…we love this little guy so much! Eli is almost three months old and is growing like crazy.  He has been smiling and chattering away…is there anything sweeter than a cooing baby?  He has also learned to roll from his belly to his back- hard stuff for such a little guy.  He loves being on his tummy and we suspect he’ll be crawling soon.  Eli has big blue eyes like Evan and clearly looks like his daddy. He’s a happy & content baby who even at three in the morning can melt my heart with his sweetness. The number one thing people have asked me is: what is the most unexpected thing about being a parent, that answer is simple: how incredibly much I love him…more than I thought was possible.  It may sound cheesy, but it is so true.  Enjoy this little update…and check back soon!

We are so excited to share that Kara & Brandon’s wedding has been featured in the January issue of 425 Magazine!  Kara & Brandon’s gorgeous green wedding took place at Changing Season’s Farm and their full post can be seen here.   Kara wore her mother’s wedding dress and guests picked blackberries during their reception.  It was a beautiful day for this lovely couple and we can’t imagine a better way to share their day than with such a splendid feature!

kendra & alfonzo – seattle, wa

We’ve been waiting to do this post…and are so pleased to finally share it with you!  This couple is one of our favorites…meet Kendra & Alfonzo.  They were married at Sodo Park and we had a blast shooting this gorgeous bride.  Kendra was radiant and we love her non-stop smile.  Alfonzo and Kendra are such kind and genuine people and they were surrounded by friends and family that clearly love and cherish them as well.  This was the second to last wedding we shot in 2010 and I was 8.5 months pregnant.  We were blessed to not only have such a great couple, but we also had our good friend Tonhya of Tonhya Kae Photography help us shoot and I couldn’t have done it without her.  We cannot express how much we enjoyed this couple and wedding…a huge thank you to them for being so great to work with and of course congratulations on their marriage!

joanne mcdaniel - Wonderful photos of a superb day. Congratulations everyone!

Robin - What a beautiful bride! Kendra is one of the happiest, truest people I know. To see her all dolled up on this day she has been waiting for for so long…love it! Gorgeous girl, great pics :)
